to Arenas del Mar, Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
Arenas Del Mar is located on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica about 2 km. from the port of Quepos, in Manuel Antonio. The resort is beautifully situated on a cliff above Espadilla Beach with its white sand beaches and the sparkling Pacific Ocean and overlooks the spectacular Manuel Antonio National Park and has direct beach access to two separate beaches. Most visitors to Costa Rica arrive in San Jose which is located about 4 hours by car or a short 20 minute flight from Arenas Del Mar. Both Nature Air and Sansa offer many flights during daylight hours to and from Quepos. Some guests also fly in from abroad to Liberia from where it is a 5 hour drive or two short domestic flights of about 25 and 45 minutes each.
Driving directions - San Jose to Manuel Antonio
Head west out of San Jose towards the international airport on the Inter American Highway and turn off at the Atenas-Orotina-Jaco-Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio exit. Take a left and follow the road and continue to the town of Orotina. Once you arrive in Orotina follow the signs to Jacó and then down the pacific coast to Quepos. Once in Quepos downtown, follow the signs to Manuel Antonio National Park and later the signs to Arenas Del Mar Beach & Nature Resort. Before the road starts descending you will see Barba Roja Restaurant, Los Altos Condominiums and Arenas Del Mar sign to your right. Take a right towards Mariposa Hotel and continue for 600 meters down the road until you reach the second left-hand side entrance were you will find another sign. Continue down the hill till the end of the road. Estimated driving time: 4 hours. Four by four vehicle preferred, but regular cars should have no problem.

On the way to the hotel your guide will point out all of the fascinating sites such as coffee plantations, national parks, African palm oil plantations, mangrove forests, tell you about our culture, history and much more. And in case you have reserved it, we will also take you to visit some of the different national parks, reserves and restaurants during the trip.

Renting a car and driving in Costa Rica might just be the adventure of your dreams. However, you should be aware that the driving conditions in Costa Rica are not as good as in your country; you will find potholes and very few road signs. it can be one of the best ways to explore all the incredible natural spots Costa Rica offers. Costa Rica Domestic flights to Manuel Antonio
The easiest and fastest way to get to Arenas Del Mar is with a domestic flight. There are two domestic airlines that offer scheduled daily flights arriving at the small airport of Quepos, just a short 15 minute ride from the resort. Sansa leaves from a small terminal at the Juan Santamaria International Airport in Alajuela and Nature Air from the Tobias Bolanos Airport located closer to downtown San Jose. Please note that all domestic flights in Costa Rica are certified as being Carbon Neutral and will compensate all carbon emissions emitted by your flight.
