Manuel Antonio National ParkManuel Antonio National Park—voted by Forbes as one of the World's Most Beautiful National Parks—is a must visit while staying with us. The views from the hills overlooking Manuel Antonio are spectacular, the beaches are idyllic, and its jungles are inhabited by howler, white-faced, and squirrel monkeys, two and three toed sloths, vibrantly colored frogs and songbirds. In Manuel Antonio National Park, you’ll experience two different types of forests: the tropical wet and the tropical dry; giving the park a remarkable variety of species. Because of this irregularity, the park also has a variety of different ecosystems, which include fresh water lagoons, pre-montane forest, mangroves, beaches, coral reefs, littoral islands, rocky cliffs, herbaceous swamps and many more. Endemic to the area is a species of primate, the red-backed squirrel monkey, which is only found on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Walking trails in the nearby park offer you a chance to experience the natural world up close with extraordinary views. Arenas Del Mar has two experienced naturalists who offer group and private guided tours of the national park. |
